The overall effect is to raise the breast position in order to give the breasts a rejuvenated appearance. While there are numerous methods that may be used, the majority of them involve making an incision in or around the breast, surgical excision of extra tissue and skin, reshaping of the breast mound and lifting of the breast, and lastly repositioning of the nipple as required.

Breast Mastopexy surgery is performed under general anaesthetic and usually spans between 1.5 to 2 hours. Typically, there are four main types of Breast Mastopexy surgeries.

Crescent Lift: This procedure is employed in cases where only minimal sagging needs to be corrected. Usually, this technique is employed when a breast uplift is performed along with breast augmentation. The technique requires only one small incision in the areola running halfway along the upper outer edge of the breast. The resultant scar is nearly invisible and hidden within the pigmented areolar skin.

Peri-areolar Lift: This procedure is also known as ‘Donut lift’. It is chosen for women with only mild sagging breasts. A peri-areolar lift can also be used to reduce the size of the areola. This is commonly selected when the breast lift surgery is conducted along with breast augmentation. It entails only a single incision along the outer areolar edge and confers a well-hidden scar.

Vertical lift:  This procedure is also known as ‘Lollipop’ lift. This is used in cases with moderately sagging breasts—which require reshaping. Here, the excess skin is removed and the entire breast is reshaped. This procedure requires two incisions.

Anchor lift: This procedure is also called ‘Inverted – T’ lift. It is used when a significant amount of sagging needs to be corrected via massive reshaping of the breasts – by removing the sagging tissues and excessive skin. This technique necessitates three incisions; a mild scarring may be anticipated, which fades with proper care.  This approach may be employed when a breast lift is done along with breast reduction surgery.

During your first appointment at our clinic, Mr Ammar Allouni will clarify all your questions regarding the procedure. He will recommend surgery only if it is the best option for you. You will also be encouraged to clarify any doubts regarding the recovery period, post-surgical care and the expected outcomes.

He will take your detailed medical history and conduct relevant clinical assessments, which might be followed by a 3D projection of the expected result – if surgery is indicated in your case. Additionally, he will inform you of the potential risks and complications of the surgery.

Some of your medications might require adjustments prior to the surgery or additional drugs may be prescribed. You will be asked to discontinue drugs like aspirin and herbal medications (if any) for a few days before and after the procedure.

Mr Ammar Allouni will also inform you about certain precautions to be taken before and after surgery. He will instruct you to quit smoking and to avoid consuming alcohol and recreational drugs for a few days before and after the surgery.

• Pre-Surgical Care: After your full body assessment and before your surgery day you get the list of precautionary measures – what all you should avoid and what all you should do for the best results.

• Day of Surgery: Mr Allouni follows the BAAPS (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) guidelines for all cosmetic procedures. On the day of surgery, your health status will be reassessed thoroughly and a qualified nurse will prepare you for the procedure. Mr Ammar Allouni and his team will ensure your well-being and comfort throughout the procedure.

• Post-Surgical Care: Mr Allouni and his team will be at your side while you are recovering. Once you are ready to go home you will be receiving a proper guideline of dos and don’ts that you need to follow and instructions on how often you need to be in touch with your surgeon to share your recovery status.
