About Chin Implant Surgery

If you feel that the structure of your chin is out of line and needs re-shaping, chin implant surgery might be right for you. It might be a worthwhile option to have this surgery if you are someone who feels that your chin should be bigger, your chin is affecting the proper balance of the rest of your face, or the definition of your jawline could be improved. This procedure will enable you to have better facial features to enhance your self-confidence and self-esteem.
The initial part of the chin implant surgery involves removal of a small section from the chin bone. This is done by first making a surgical incision on the chin (or, on some occasions, between the lower lip and gum). The chin is then brought forward, and an implant is placed onto the bone. The implants involved are usually made from silicone or other non-biological materials and are generally considered safe and not harmful. In some instances, a bone graft might be required for the procedure, which would normally be taken from the hip crest.

During your first appointment at our clinic, Mr. Ammar Allouni will clarify all your questions regarding the procedure. He will recommend surgery only if it is the best option for you. You will also be encouraged to clarify any doubts regarding the recovery period, post-surgical are and the expected outcomes.

He will take your detailed medical history and conduct relevant clinical assessments, which might be followed by a 3D projection of the expected result – if surgery is indicated in your case. Additionally, he will inform you of the potential risks and complications of the surgery. 

Some of your medications might require adjustments prior to the surgery or additional drugs may be prescribed. You will be asked to discontinue drugs like aspirin and herbal medications (if any) for a few days before and after the procedure. 

Mr Ammar Allouni will also inform you about certain precautions to be taken before and after surgery. He will instruct you to quit smoking and to avoid consuming alcohol and recreational drugs for a few days before and after the surgery.

  • Pre-Surgical Care: After your full body assessment and before your surgery day you get the list of precautionary measures – what all you should avoid and what all you should do for the best results.

 

  • Day of Surgery: Mr Allouni follows the BAAPS (British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) guidelines for all cosmetic procedures. On the day of surgery, your health status will be reassessed thoroughly and a qualified nurse will prepare you for the procedure. Mr Ammar Allouni and his team will ensure your well-being and comfort throughout the procedure.

 

  • Post-Surgical Care: Mr Allouni and his team will be at your side while you are recovering. Once you are ready to go home you will be receiving a proper guideline of dos and don’ts that you need to follow and instructions on how often you need to be in touch with your surgeon to share your recovery status.

 

  • Follow up Stage – FREE: You will be provided with a schedule about your follow up appointments. All your follow-ups with your surgeon will be completely free.

 

  • Personalised Care: Once you have gone through your surgery, you can always directly contact with Mr Ammar Allouni and his team in case you face any issue or concern in future.
Gently treat your face and prevent any contact with your chin after you have the surgery. Avoid relaxing your chin on your hand or touching it so that it does not aggravate. Stitches will dissolve after treatment leaving behind scars, which will fade gradually. Be cautious while brushing your teeth to prevent any injury with your toothbrush. It is advisable to rinse your mouth with mouthwash which is a safer option. You can go back to work within 1 week post your chin implant surgery.
After a week or so, the effects of chin implant surgery will be apparent once the compression garment is removed and the swelling has subsided. Although the outer layers of your skin will continue to develop, the tissues surrounding your chin are prone to damage with the increase in age of the underlying skin and gravity. Cosmetic surgery, in general, has some risks, but chin implant surgery is quite safe. Infection, bleeding, sensitivity, implant movement and bone absorption beneath the chin implant are all possible consequences of chin surgery.

Mr Allouni was brilliant he took really good care of my 70 year old dad who had cancer on his bottom eye lid, this being a sensitive area we was really worried however after surgery the results were amazing. You can not tell really that he has had the operation. The advice we needed to hear was really clear and was fully informed when we needed to be. Excellent Doctor!

Mr Allouni did an operation on a large lump on the back of my neck which was causing me discomfort and pain. He took time to explain everything to me and was very supportive throughout the procedure. I came to Mr Allouni after I had a breast augmentation in Turkey, with implants that didn’t fit my frame and a shape that I was very unhappy with. The result I got, really affected my confidence and so I went to see Mr Allouni at the Duchy Hospital.

Mr Allouni is very easy to talk to, friendly and approachable. He has excellent knowledge and also had the 3D imaging which allowed me to look at possible outcomes of the procedure which was very impressive.

After going through all the options over a couple of appointments, I opted for removal of implants and an uplift (mastopexy) surgery.

I am over the moon with the result and also the care I received from the hospital and Mr Allouni. With amazing aftercare and regular contact/ follow up appointments I felt in safe hands.

I have a new found confidence in my appearance and I would urge anyone considering plastic surgery to see Mr Allouni for his advice and friendly service. There is no pushy sales or confusing explanations. He takes time to listen to your concerns, and what you hope as an outcome of having surgery.

Mr. Allouni recently removed a large lipoma from my back under local anaesthesia. He and his team at Trent Cliffs Private Healthcare were so caring and friendly and put me completely at ease. Mr Allouni performed a DIEP flap reconstruction while I had a single mastectomy in April this year, due to a breast cancer diagnosis.

As a mother of 4, he was honest and advised me the recovery would be hard, especially with a toddler, but due to his honesty, we as a family were prepared.

The surgery went well, although I developed a whole host of complications that are usually reserved for the 1-3% of patients. My flap failed, so I was taken back to surgery, and then again to save the flap, which he did – 3rd time lucky!

I then developed some issues with healing and seromas, so a further surgery was required to “put me back together” again. He and his team were reassuring, friendly and kept me up to date at all times.

I truly felt like he cared. Every time I visited the plastic dressings department he wanted to be informed of how I was, or he would pop in to check my wounds, and advise on if a wound vac was needed etc. He is a magnificently skilled surgeon, but the fact that he makes you feel important and valued makes such a difference to the care you receive and that goes for the entire team over this whole process.

I won’t have further plastics consultations for several months now, while I have additional treatments for cancer, but I look forward to seeing Mr Allouni again to complete my reconstruction in the New Year. It will be a New Year, new me! Thank you so very much.

Mr Allouni took over the majority of my care from another doctor and did a double mastectomy with DIEP flap reconstruction. I have a diagnosis of ASD and anxiety. Mr Allouni went out of his way to reassure me all through this procedure. He had seen me without an appointment. While I was staying in the hospital, they made sure that I was in a quiet ward on my own which was just what I needed after this operation so I had time to process what was happening. All in all, the whole team at Castle Hill are fantastic and I could not ask for anything more.

I could not recommend Mr Allouni enough! I have had a long journey since my initial breast cancer diagnosis and it has been a rollercoaster ride of different surgeries and procedures. My first meeting and consultation with Mr Allouni came as a pleasant and welcome surprise when he asked me what I ideally wanted as an outcome. It was a great comfort to feel listened to and to feel heard!! We discussed at length what were realistic expectations, what could be achieved, what couldn’t and then went ahead with the procedure. Following this, for the first time I finally feel happy with the outcome and more myself again. Mr Allouni performed a single mastectomy with DIEP flap reconstruction on me 8 weeks ago & I am so happy with my results, everything looks amazing & so much better than I ever expected.

A cancer diagnosis is such a scary experience, especially with a teenage daughter who I care for alone. My recovery was vital but Mr Allouni has been there at every step of the way, allaying my worries & keeping check on every problem I have had. Both myself & my daughter will be ever grateful to him.

The whole hospital experience was seamless. The whole surgery team, physiotherapists & nurses were so reassuring & worked together to make a horrible experience the very best it could be.

I cannot recommend enough. Mr Allouni is professional yet compassionate & caring. I couldn’t have asked for more. I’m still a work in progress but I am sure I will be just as thrilled with my follow-on surgery as his work is faultless & so meticulous. I am one very happy patient.

Ammar Allouni literally saved my foot after an operation to fuse my ankle which went wrong and also after a failed skin flap. Ammar took over my case and operated to save my ankle and foot with a very successful skin flap operation. Ammar from the very start helped me come to terms with the situation and reassured me that he would be successful in helping me. It would be impossible for me to have had any better care!! Mr Allouni performed a single mastectomy and immediate DIEP, and he is just wow! He is so skilled and compassionate and cares about his patient so much. There were little issues, and he was there checking on me twice a day. Every person has commented on how neat his work is. Credit to his fantastic team, who gave me great care and attention too. My procedure is still a work in progress, and I can’t wait to see the finished result over the next year or so. Mr Allouni is very kind and explains everything pre surgery. He is amazing.

I would more than recommend this doctor. I was left with an open wound after a car accident which had unfortunately got infected. I left this for 11 weeks until I was transferred from Scunthorpe to Hull care. Mr Ammar Allouni was unbelievable. He urgently rushed me into the next available slot so that my leg could be operated asap, even with ongoing covid restrictions. I have never been so happy about the advice and support I have received from him and his team. With my mental health condition, I needed a lot of reassuring which I got and more from him and his team. Since the skin graft/ flap been placed over my ankle I have had nothing but the full care possible. Seeing the amazing work from him and his team that they have achieved is really mind blowing.

I found Mr Allouni to be a very nice consultant who was willing to listen to my concerns. He performed lypomodelling and scar revision in December 2020. His work was excellent, I felt that I could speak to him openly without embarrassment, which is a comfort when having breast surgery. I was referred to Mr Allouni from the local Minor Injury Unit following a finger trauma. The whole team was very efficient. Mr Allouni took time to explain the extent of the damage and he discussed with me what he felt needed to be done. He explained that I needed surgery under local anesthesia. The surgery was done that same morning by Ms Riyat. Throughout the whole process from the reception staff, to nursing team, consultant and the doctor who operated, I feel I have received excellent care, was involved in the decision making and kept me informed throughout. I was given clear advice on discharge. Everything was very clean, and I felt safe. I would definitely recommend the plastic surgeon team at HRI under Mr Allouni.
